Months had passed, and through them, Andromeda began to become more active, crawling out of her cradle, and wandering around the nest. She ate her first semi solid, chewed up regurgitated fish, and she ate it with eagerness. She had not yet fly like her caretakers so she was restricted to the ground level of the nest, but thanks to watching the other hatchlings in the nest, but she found safe paths that lead her to the upper levels. During the months, the female Stormcutter that took Andromeda to the nest had a small clutch of eggs.  When Andromeda reached the age of 2, she was finally learning how to fly and it was the day for the eggs to hatch. The female Stormcutter sat by the eggs waiting to see the slightest of movement when she saw Andromeda scuttle up to her nest. She looked at her with dilated eyes, flared frills, and a tilled head of curiosity.
She warbled, giving Andromeda a  purr and a nudge before looking back at the clutch, noticing one of her eggs were much large than the others, it was a different color as well having a red tint on it, making her tilt her head again. Andromeda cooed then climbed into the nest, crawling over to the larger egg.  Crack! She watched as the eggs began to tremble, cracks appearing on the shells. Andromeda rose to her hind legs with curiosity, a small piece then broke off of it. She peered inside, wondering what was inside, only to have something stare right back at her. Spooked, she felt onto her back, watching the large egg rock side to side then fall onto its side. A large baby Stormcutter broke out of the egg along with its smaller siblings, its iridescent scales were a woody brown, its belly and wings were a cream color, the tips of the spines that branched from its nose, the frills on its head and the spines of its back were tipped red. It shook the egg shells of its head before looking at Andromeda with a tilted head and big eyes. It crawled over to Andromeda sniffing her before giving out a chirrup, it licked Andromeda on the face, making her coo, and she lightly bobbing  heads with the hatching, smiling.
And on that day, a bond was formed, Andromeda and the Stormcutter hatchling were inseparable, they went everywhere together. The only time they weren’t together was during the nighttime where everyone was asleep. Andromeda quickly grew out of her cradle, and she soon began sleeping on her Father’s head. By the age of 5, Andromeda was growing bigger and in a shock to everyone she grew two extra heads, each with a different personality and mentality than the base head, but was fully aware that it was the same dragon. She also began to become aware, she didn’t looked much her family members, she had ten wings instead of two, she was bigger than most the dragons her age.
The Bewilderbeast’s icy blue eyes fell down on his daughter as she walked up to him. He watched as she gave a small bow as he looked at her with curiosity.
Daddy...? What…are we? The Bewilderbeast only tilted his head at her question.
It’s just…
He watched as she sat by the pool with a sigh, looking at her reflection
…Look at us…we look so different from the others … and they been looking at us strange ever since my other heads grew in…
The Bewilderbeast let out a short yet gentle rumble, just because she different looking than the others doesn’t mean she was any different from them, she was a dragon just like them. He even pointed out that no dragon species ever looked the same.
You’re right Daddy. But…then what kind of dragon …are we?
The Alpha did not know what species she was, but what he did know was that she was a dragon like he was, like everyone in the flock was.
Thanks Daddy.  She warbled as she opened her wings and flew off.
By 10, after another growth spurt and the development of another pair of heads, Andromeda began to get smarter; she was being to fly better, learning she didn’t need to flap as much with her big wings, she learned how to pluck stuff off the ground with her talons and how to breathe fire, electricity and plasma. During this time Aquila, was learning how to fly as well along with other siblings.
Aquila!
Andromeda flew over to the Stormcutter, landing right beside her, hanging off the cliff, but the sharp talons on her large wings made clinging onto the rocky cliff easy. Aquila looked at her sister with a tilted head.
We did it! It took a lot of convincing but today, we’re going to lunch with the others!
The Stormcutter’s frills flared open with a croon of disbelief.
Yep. Now come on. They’re leaving right now.
Andromeda pushed off the cliff, opening her large wings. They caught the air with one stroke, pushing her upwards. Aquila jumps off the edge after her, opening her wings. Andromeda loved flying; the feeling of freedom it gave her was indescribable. She began flying upwards, flapping her wings in a scooping motion, the weight of gravity began to affect her, the wind was working against her, it should be scary, but to her it was exhilarating.
WHOOHOO!
She made an upside down loop downward right when she reached the icy ceiling, then went into a nose dive, diving down and quickly pulling back up near the warm water, low enough for her paws to graze the water surface as she flew back up. The Alpha watched as Aquila and Andromeda, soared around the nest.
He groaned, telling the two to be careful.
Aw, come on, Daddy. I’m living the dream!
She crooned as she and Aquila flew down to the Bewilderbeast, hovering near his face.
Is it lunch time yet? Is it? Is it?
The Bewilderbeast rolled his eyes, slightly nodding his head.
YAY!
The Bewilderbeast let out a bellow, Andromeda watched as all her brothers and sisters took to the skies and her father lumber over to the deeper end of his pool, diving underneath the water. Aquila’s mother flew up to them, crooning at them to follow. Aquila and Andromeda followed her mother closely through the caverns and to the outside. Their eyes opened in awe, the outside was a winter wonderland unlike the inside of their nest, ice litter the water, and the gigantic island they called home was covered in snow with a gigantic icy shell coating the top of it. Andromeda shivered a bit, a cold arctic wind brushed against her scaly body.
Brr…I-I didn’t think the outside was so cold…
Aquila’s mother cooed before flying ahead with Aquila and Andromeda right behind her. They followed her and the clan to a spot in the middle of two glaciers where they stop.
Where’s Daddy?
Andromeda looked at the Stormcutter with titled head. She nudges her head down, hinting them to look down. The two look down at the water to see large two head sea dragons circling around a large school of fish until the massive figure of the Alpha rose from the depths with his maw wide open. The sea dragons quickly dispersed as the Bewilderbeast rose near the surface gather the fish in his mouth as his tusks were the first to pierced the watery surface, his massive figure surge out of the water, before he collapsed back in the water, he took a deep breath and spits out all the fish in this mouth as hard as he could, making fish rain from the sky. They watched as their flock mates, flew around, trying to catch as many fish as they could.
Come on Aquila! Let’s get some fish!
Andromeda went into a nose dive and Aquila dived quickly after, they catched as much fish as their mouths would carry. With bellies full, they decided to do a little outing. They stopped at a glacier the top of it covered in snow, allowing Andromeda and Aquila to play in the snow. Andromeda grabbed an icicle and began scribbling in the snow, once she was done; she tried to spit it out only to find it stuck on her tongue. Aquila dug underneath the snow only to pop up, throwing snow everywhere. Aquila's mother soon showed them something she found a while back, they came to a cliff. A strong updraft blew by the cliff, Aquila's mother soon jumped off her wings open to catch the wind. The two watched as the Stormcutter began to fly upwards without even flapping her wings. The two were scared at first, but Andromeda soon worked up the courage and leaped off the cliff as well, opening her wings, catching the wind. She croons at the others to join them, and soon Aquila and some of the flock jumped into the wind. All of them hovered upon the wind with glee, the Alpha watched from below, pleased to see his flock having fun. After a couple of hours, the Alpha groaned, it was time to return to the nest, Andromeda flew down to her father.
That was awesome, Daddy! Is that the way you always catch fish?
The Bewilderbeast gave a hearty laugh like croon then gave a groan.
Cool!
And with that, the day passed quickly, nightfall came, the nest grew dark as the dragons began to lie down, getting ready to go to sleep.  Andromeda flew on top her father’s head.
Hey daddy?
The Bewilderbeast looked with a raised eyebrow.
Can we go out like visit another island?
The Alpha groaned at her question.
Yeah. Going outside of the nest was awesome and seeing our home from the outside was even awesomer! I want see another island.
The Bewilderbeast yawned, then gave out a huff; she knew how he felt about the world beyond his border.
I know…
She yawns as well curling up on her father’s head. She looked over at Aquila’s Nest and waved her goodnight. The Stormcutter waves back before curling up herself.
She yawns, Night Daddy…
Slowly the whole nest fell into a slumber.
Several years passed and as Andromeda got older strange things happened, she  goes through a big growth spurt and grow 4 extra heads. The Alpha reassures her as she doubts herself being a part of the flock. She and Aquila then have their first glimpse of the outside world and even having a chance to play around outside. But Andromeda still yearns for more.
